Once everyone is settled on deck, the boat casts off as the late afternoon light starts to shift. As you head out into the main river channel, the live musicians set up and start playing, giving the whole trip a relaxed background soundtrack. You’ll head downriver toward the 25th of April Bridge, passing right underneath its suspension cables so you can appreciate the scale of the structure from water level.
As the cruise continues, the boat lines up with the massive Christ the King statue sitting high on the southern bank. You’ll have plenty of time to take in the views across both sides of Lisbon as the sun slowly drops toward the horizon, painting the sky and lighting up the hills.
The boat then drifts down toward the waterfront district of Belém. From the deck, you’ll get a clear, unobstructed angle on the historical monuments and coastal forts that line the estuary, all while avoiding the busy crowds on the pavement. Because you're on the water, you get a completely different look at the city skyline as night falls.
After completing the circuit along the river, the boat slowly turns back and returns to the pier where your trip finishes.
