Travelling from Bucharest in an air-conditioned vehicle with Wi-Fi on board, you’ll be accompanied by a professional guide who shares fascinating insights about the region.
On arrival, skip-the-line entry ensures a smooth start to your underground adventure. A short descent takes you both 208 metres below the surface, where the salt mine opens into vast caverns with walls soaring 70 metres high. The cool air remains at a constant 12 degrees, creating a refreshing environment long celebrated for its health benefits.
During two hours of free time, you can stroll together past intricate carvings, visit the history displays or simply pause to take in the scale of the chambers. In the Salt Mine there is a constant temperature of 12 degrees, so you will need to bring warm clothes.
