The Experience
Your day starts with a registration process on arrival at the Downpatrick venue, where you will meet the team and get checked in. From there, an experienced instructor leads a safety briefing that covers essential vehicle controls, track rules and the core techniques needed to handle a rear-wheel drive rally car.
Once the briefing concludes, you head out to the track to get settled into the driver's seat. Your instructor sits alongside you to give real-time guidance as you set off. As you build speed around the circuit, you will get a feel for how the car shifts its weight and responds to your steering inputs, especially when taking corners.
Throughout the session, you can practice managing traction and controlling the car's movement on the surface. The instructor stays in the passenger seat to help you tweak your line and brake points as you get used to how the vehicle behaves. Once your driving time comes to an end, you pull back into the pit area to hand the car over.
