Your session begins with a ride up the local chairlift to reach the middle station on the mountain. Once you get to the top, you will check in with the instructors to collect your kit, get fitted with your helmet, and receive your safety gear. The team will run through a quick briefing to show you how the board steers and how to use your body weight to control your speed on the grass tracks.
When you are comfortable with the basics, you will head out to the slopes to start your downhill run. The boards are built with wide trucks and thick tyres to absorb the bumps, so you can focus on finding your line down the hill. As you gather momentum, you will quickly get a feel for how the board responds when you lean into turns and shift your weight to adjust your path.
The trail takes you right through the fresh air of the countryside, giving you an open view of the surrounding valleys as you descend. You can progress at whatever pace feels comfortable, whether you want to make wide, controlled sweeps to take in the landscape or pick a quicker, more direct route down the tracks. The activity finishes up naturally once you reach the bottom of the course.
What’s Included:
There is no experience necessary for the adventure of Mountain Boarding Hasenstrick. You will be able to master the mountain board in this experience.
The experience with the mountain board will take place independent of the weather conditions. Please bring appropriate clothes for the actual weather conditions.
The mountain board-downhill takes about 3 hours.
The number of participants in the experience of mountain boarding Hasenstrick is unlimited.
Spectators can not be accomodate for. The astonished gaze of hikers is guaranteed! For people that does not trust the mountain board, but still want to take part, a scooter can also be provided upon request.
For the downhill-ride with the mountain board you need good shoes and all weather clothing. The protective equipment and the mountain board will be provided.
The mountain board event can be performed on any day.
The meeting area for the experience is the hotel-restaurant Hasenstrick at Bachtel bei Wald (ZH).
Please book at least 5 days before you want to do your mountain board experience.
