The Experience
Your tour starts with a safety overview and an introduction from your guide before you head out into the groves. They will walk you through the terraced farms that run along the hillsides, explaining how the trees are tended and how the terrain shapes the farming methods used here.
As you move through the site, you get a clear look at how the crop changes depending on when you visit. If you go between February and August, you see the harvest in full flow with mature fruit on the trees. Visits outside these months show the next crop coming through as small green lemons develop on the branches. Your guide explains the full lifecycle of the fruit, from early growth through to picking, giving you a solid understanding of how these farms operate year-round.
You spend the rest of the visit walking the footpaths between the terraces, getting a feel for the scale of the orchards and the work involved in maintaining them. Once the walk finishes and your guide answers any remaining questions, your time at the grove comes to an end.
