The Experience
The Sightseeing & Seal Watching Trip in Sligo Bay offers a peaceful two-hour cruise along Ireland’s northwest coast.
Departing from the Harry Ewing Pontoon beside the Sligo Bay RNLI station in Rosses Point, this small-group tour combines local storytellin and time on the open water.
Your skipper provides live commentary throughout the trip, sharing insights into Sligo’s history and the landmarks that define the coastline. You’ll pass the lighthouses that mark the entrance to Sligo Harbour and the islands often mentioned in Yeats’ writing.
When conditions are favourable, the boat heads towards a local seal colony where you can observe the seals resting along the shore. Dolphins and seabirds are sometimes seen in the area, adding an extra highlight to the journey.
With a maximum of ten passengers, this is an intimate and enjoyable experience that offers clear views of the coastline and plenty of photo opportunities.
